just out of curiosity why do u have to rehome your gerbils but want rats ?hope you dont mind me asking

hey, i have to rehome my 2 female gerbils. they are sisters and a little over a year. 1 is white witth some cream markings. the other is a light brown sandy color. both and very friendly loving.
if you can give them a home or know someone that would be wonderful. i live in Buffalo New york.

i know it seems odd. i think so to. i also have 2 boy gerbils, and my mom thinks its to many gerbils. she wants rats, and would like me to rehome the 2 females. i had to take in the males because one has health issues and my friend coulnt care for him.
id love to keep the girls but my mom is mad at the amount of gerbils in the house, but seems fine with getting rats.parents...grr.
