Okay so I am a new owner of my first pet chinchilla and I love him to death but sometimes he poops in his ball and it gets stuck in his fur... I read up on how to get it out and some people said use a baby wipe... well I did and now his fur isnt normal... I gave him his sand bath and its still not back to normal...

Can someone help me? How do I get his fur back to normal? and any tricks to getting it out?

use a dust bath....sand baths are useless. And ditch the ball they are extremely unnsanitary for that reason. Feces and Urine get all over the poor chinchillas

Should try to avoid getting a chinchillas fur wet. Or using wipes (I would be worried there might be chemicals on them not healthy to chinchillas.

Like suggest, provide a sand bath and don't stress too much, it will slowly grow and shed out anyway, just liek when us humans get crazy and damage our hair.

I agree, ditch the ball. unsanitary and can be potentially harmful to the chinchillas life (have heard of chinchillas being left in them too long in warm temp and overheating and dying) Chin proof a room in the house and let them run around there. Its much more entertaining for you as well watching them bounce off walls and do laps around the room
