Have you tried her on iron tablets? They can help get the red blood cell count back to normal.

More importantly would be to try and determine the underlying cause of the anemia and this is where the vet comes in handy.

thanks for the tip.. yup, i went to the vet for her check-up. The vet suggested i use some iron supplement syrup that is usually given to pregnant dogs. anyways, the vet says it's ok. my chi as of now has more color than ever. getting used to the "ear thing" though as she is also growing her teeth now.

hmmm, maybe go to your vet directly, so that your chi will give right medications right away..

Yeah, the iron should definitely fix that up. Glad to hear she has gotten more color. She probably feels better too!
