It all depends on what you feel is right. If you take the dogs you can at least feel better about starting off fresh with nothing, the dog is in the position of winning or losing at this point. You also need to figure out what is the most important thing for these dogs, will they be in danger if you leave them or will they find a home? Are they bonded to you? Bc if they are it will be harder on them if you disappear forever. And are you in a position to ask yourself why you took this responsibility in the first place when you knew you would be returning to US? Dogs are a commitment up to 15 years.
