I got Speckle at 8 weeks and she was just as you described your new bun to be, let me tell you this will change. When Speckle was a baby she would follow me around, she would come up to me to pet her, she was so attached to me, she's about 4 1/2 months now and she's definitely not the same bun, she doesn't follow me around anymore, she doesn't want me to pick her up, she hardly tolerates me petting her LOL, she's a teen bunny now and I expected all of this so I'm not really surprised, she's still my baby though, even with her temper tantrums.

I think a big part of is that I really do enjoy just sitting there and watching them or laying on the floor and letting them climb on me, Speckle loves to climb on my back when I'm cleaning the condo and stand up on her back legs and look around, it's the funniest thing ('cept when she doesn't wanna get off). Also, I do get some pets in at least once a day, I'm hoping that as time goes by she'll be a little more friendly, she's definitely my little brat.

Don't give up hope for the sweet after-bunny! I've never had a baby bun (Hamm was a year when I got him) but Hamm is sweet in his own way. He still nudges me for pets and likes licking my pants. Whenever I give him the full body massage it's hilarious to see him hunker down cuz he looks like a giant fuzzball with a tiny head.

Maybe I'm just weird in that I like the aloofness. It's one of the reasons I don't like dogs that much. My cats will come to me when they want love, my bunny will nudge my leg when he wants pets, but otherwise they're off doing their own thing.
I'm exactly the same way, dogs are too needy for me, rabbits do their own thing but I can still get some bunny luv when needed lol
