Looking for Basenji breeders near Indiana

I'm sorry, I don't know of any breeders...do you definately want a puppy? There are some adult Basenjis for adoption on Petfinder.

I could possibly help with a railroad if need be. I'm in Vincennes and could help to transport a puppy if you find one that would come through here.

My husband prefer a puppy so that it will be raised with our kids since they are still at a young age.

Now as far as this person from Vincennes, guess what I am from Vincennes and as a matter of fact we are going to visit my mother there this weekend. What a small world. I went to high school there, graduated from there, went to the college there for a while and then went to the business college there and graduated. I was practically raised in Vincennes. I'm sure you know this since you've been researching them, but some of them have some kind of blood thing that kills them when they're about 3-5 years old. I forget what it's called or what it does (I think it makes them anemic all the time), but make sure that you get a puppy from bloodlines free of that. I worked at a vet once and the vet there had a basenji and he died of it.

Did you ever get your basenji? There's one for adoption on Petfinder in Cheviot, OH., wherever that is...
