Anyone ever own or know someone who owns a lynx?

As a matter of fact I do. A friend of mine has 2 Siberian Lynxes and I would NOT recommend them as pets. Even just being playful, a very strong 50 pound cat can seriously hurt you.
Why in the world does that sound intriguing to me? Granted claws are a little different than hooves, and my 9 pound cat is already trying to kill my foot but those sound interesting. I'm weird though. I probably never will own them but I never thought about it before either.

I'm guessing they need lots of room?
Any exotic cats are not domestic enough to noot be in enclosures. Even some savannahs up to f2 are very wild.
I would never own one but they are cool to think about. I wouldn't want to own them for many reasons but mainly their happiness (and my sanity). But again, it's cool to think about.
Their starting to domesticate foxes :) felune in a doggy-like body

Really? That sounds cool as ****. Yea, I have seen pet lynxes on the internet. They seem really really serious. It would be fun if you didn't have to worry about kids or anything.
Yep, weve kept *****, super awesome if tamed. And skunks are gaining popularity...dog and bunny all in one..nice but destructive. Lll
My shelter has an F2 savannah. Whew that is one heck of a cat (she was adopted that day by someone with experience YAY) but that was only an F2 hybrid. I don't think I or most people could handle an F1...let alone a full on wild cat lol.

I saw on tv that some of it was by accident. Some fur farms up in somewhere land are having issues with their silver foxes. Some are losing coat quality (although soft, some are long like a collie) but they are MUCH easier to handle.

The one on TV I saw looked a lot like a small border collie with a looong tail.
Oh and coat color of course.

Theres diff breeds of foxes too, they use artics gor fur farming and their mill bred so not conformationally right. Foxes are not in canine family though.
