I couldn't find it listed on any hound breed lists. Is it an uncommon name for another breed?

I have not been able to find any information on the breed "Meerhound or Meershound" Search engines either cannot find it or will "find" DEERHOUND. Meerhounds are large and similar to Rottweilers.1 - 7 of 7 Posts
Where did you hear about the breed? And is it possible you misheard the name?
I couldn't find an M under guard breed or hounds.
