This thread is very hard for me to create, because it means that my beautiful baby boy is gone. I love him dearly, and I am so happy that I was able to share my life with him for more than 28 months. I have made a memorial video for him, available on my youtube page:
Memorial: Russell (7/22/09-11/27/11)
I think the video says more than words could, but I will say a few things here about him. He was silly, loving, and gentle. He adored his brother Stanley, although his precocious nature often shone through when he would purposefully irritate Stanley by poking, play-biting, and tackling him during naptime. Russell was plagued by respiratory issues from a very young age, and yet he never let his sickness get the best of him. On his tough days, he liked to be petted and held in his favorite sweater. He loved digging in his fabric tub, and playing tickle games in afghans and blankets. He also obsessed over keeping his nest clean and organized, and was quite frequently seen dragging toilet paper rolls around his playpen, stacking them in *just* the right way. He loved fishing for peas, and his favorite treat was my homemade cranberry muffins.
Russell was an absolute joy, and he always brightened my day. His silly little games and loving kisses may have come to an end, but his beautiful spirit will live on forever.
I love you, Russie.
