my older boy moe (the orange and white cat in my display picture)is going to the vet monday and im sooo nervous. I love my kitty but latley he hasnt been feeling well i think he has a urine infection so nothing to serious but serious enough at the same time. He has been having random peeing fits where he will stand and be looking at us and randomly pee. and cry or the same thing with his poop its wet and just randomly comes out he doesnt always make it to the littre box latley.he gets to go to a new vet on monday as his orginal vet is packed till september. Iv heard good refrence about this vet so its not sooo bad but still the fact of my big baby boy going to the vet is scary.Hubby says I baby moe to much :binkie: but iv caught him a few times talking to moe today about the vet and how there gonna make him all better and saying he loves him lol. his vet appointments set for 9 am monday

Urinary tract issues are actually VERY serious in male cats. They block very easily. You are not babying him and in fact I would not advise you to wait until Monday.

He is already in pain and the risk of blockage is great.

Once blocked a male cat dies within 24 hours and it is not a pleasant death. I hope you have already gotten him to the vet, but if you haven't, do find a vet today, don't wait until tomorrow as it may be too late.
PS

And he is already suffering. Remember that cats hide illness and pain as long as they possibly can. By the time they show symptoms they have already been ill for a long time.

Please do get him in right away, today.

mondays the earliest i could get him in after call all the local vets. unfortnatley. and i know hes in pain if i didnt think anything was wrong i would of never made a vet appointment.
Somebody people have situations at home she is in a LOT of pain and can't drive. Monday is tomorrow. She always does her best for them. Also most vets aren't open on sundays and the ones that are are booked.
I stand by my advice that this is an emergency situation. You don't have to follow it, but I sure wish you would.

i give everything for my cats and would do anything for them, the truth of the matter is theres no vet that can take him till monday. so its not that im ignoring your advice its theres simply nothing i can do till then.
When vets are closed they arrange for someone to cover for them. There is always an on call vet available somewhere. When vets are open they leave openings for emergencies. Vets know emergencies happen.

I know you are in a delicate situation yourself, I am not insensitive to that. And I know the stress of worrying about Moe is not good for you. Call someone and ask them for help. Where there's a will there's a way.

I am not casting doubt on the way you care for your cats. I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation, but my first concern is for Moe. I know about this kind of problem in cats, I know what kind of pain the cat suffers and I know what happens when the cat blocks.

As long as he is passing some urine he is not blocked, but what happens if he blocks in the middle of the night? Better to get him seen now than in the middle of the night.

That's all, I won't say anymore. I am not trying to antagonize you.

Please keep us posted.
