I'm sorry for your loss ... when you have a really special pet it never is easy. I've had a few of those in my life. The pain will fade over time but it will never fully go away. But you will be able to look back on your memories of him and think of the good times and all the love you had for each other ... it just takes time. The pain isn't bad ... it serves to remind you of what an impact he had on you and how much he touched your life.I know it must have been hard to bury him yourself ... but try to think of it as a worthy memorial for Oy. You were there when no one else was to take care of him and lay him to rest. I'm sure he appreciated it wherever he is now ...
