I have two baby rats, and I just bought them a new cage. The cage I got is meant for a bunny, but in the reviews people noted that it was perfect for two adult rats. The measurements between the bars wasn't listed, so I didn't think anything of it, but now one of the rats keeps squeezing through.

I know I've heard rats can fit anywhere their head can, but do their heads get bigger? The spacing between the bars is about one inch, should I get a different cage, or will they not be able to escape once they get older?
