Okay, I finally have some pics to share with you!
First up is my new mommy Lila, as you can see she's not very big so you can understand my concern about her having back to back litters. Sorry the pics aren't great. Lila moves around a lot! And is not very easy to photograph!

These two are Tazmania and Zealand (so named for the island formations on their backs!) They are nearly identical but with very different behavior. We call them Taz and Zeal. I managed a decent one of Taz but Zeal wasn't having it. You will notice her curious little nose peeking out of the hidey hole on the second pic.

Last but certainly not least, 14 little pink jelly bean ratties, born this Monday! These were taken day two and as you can see by the pic next to the syringe they are already a pretty good size. They are all screamers and have all consistently had milk bands every time I've checked, so they're awesome. The first two picks show the whole rattie pile. I snapped the third one just because those three looked so sweet cuddled up!

flickr doesn't allow direct posting onto forums...but you can link to the pics IN flickr

I edited your original thread, removing the image tags.

Okay awesome thanks for the help! That is a habittrail, but its temporary. I have a really huge hutch style cage, but there are just a couple of places where I thought the gaps in the bars were too big because when I first brought them home last friday they were sooo tiny. They've already grown a lot though so we're going to move them into the big cage this weekend. That way I will be home a lot to supervise just in case they are still small enough to get out. Don't worry I won't keep them in small cages long, I can't stand an animal in a small cage. Both my parrots are in cages that are 2.5 times the recommended size for their species.

I am going to purchase a tank topper cage for a 20 gallon long tank as soon as I get paid at the end of the month though. I have a 20 gallon long tank that's not in use, and I thought that might be a good and cost effective way to give my boys in the litter a decent amount of space between the time when I have to separate them and when I can get them all adopted.

Thanks. I think they're pretty cute! Talk about an instant family though! Last Thursday I didn't own rats anymore. I went in intending to buy three females to live happily together in my big cage and by Monday morning was the proud owner of 17 rats total! Quite an adjustment. Back in the day when I had my own house instead of renting and worked fewer hours, I briefly did a little breeding under the mentoring of a breeder from Alabama. Then when I saw how many rats out there needed homes I stopped breeding and started just doing a little rescuing/rehoming here and there. So I've had litters and multiple rats before. But it sure has been a while and it never seemed quite this sudden!:panic:

Well, you have a very big heart to take on rescuing and rehoming, that is so admirable! If I tried doing that, I would just be in tears constantly because I would want to keep every single ratty and could not bring myself to give any away, ha ha. I have overt emotional tendencies, a soft belly and a complete pushover issue when it comes to rats. I get attached and overprotective in less time than it takes to blink an eye. Sigh...but I am glad others out there do it! Thank the animal gods for people like you. :)
