Well Pearl is leaving tomorrow. We are all very sad as we have grown to love her and will miss her dearly. I am taking a ton of pictures and videos of her before she is being picked up by her owner tomorrow. Yes I said owner. After being with us for almost 3 months Pearl's owner finally got in touch with us. It turns out that the owner doesn't even live in our area. Pearl had traveled a total of 2 towns before ending up with us. The owner had searched everywhere for her but hadn't thought to check outside of town. He noticed a poster that was still up at one of the vet clinics around here while visiting a friend and gave us a call yesterday. After trading information he confirmed that Pearl was indeed his cat and surprisingly her name is actually Pearl. So it seems like we picked a good name for her. We found out that she came from a farm when she was a year old and is now 12 so our vet was right when guessing her age between 9-12 but more on the older side. He said hes not sure why she had been pooping on our floor as shes a very clean cat, and apologized for her behavior. He told us he will keep us updated on her and how shes doing. We are going to miss her but are happy that she will be going back to her home where she grew up and with her owner who obviously cares about her. He was very thankful to us for caring for her.
