Hey guys, I'm trying to collect some data for a class I'm in about how people treat/view their pets.

If you wouldn't mind, please take this short 12-question survey about pet nutrition.. if enough people take the survey we'll do a drawing on twitter for a petco gift card, so hopefully that makes it worth your time!

There's nothing about raw or having multiple cats/dogs in it. A very basic survey...

I don't have any of those behavior/physical problems so I put Other "flinging meat around the house" which is Sugar's biggest issue. I also don't buy my meat, I hunt for it so it didn't really apply that much...

I also don't have access to a petco... don't even know if there's one in my area at all..

I had that issue, too. We have multiple dogs (and foster dogs) and the diets vary a bit. I also sometimes feed raw, which wasn't an option.

The pet industry is huge and has grown to over $40+ billion in sales in 2007, pet food alone was at a staggering $16+ billion. Spending forecasts for 2008 will likely exceed those numbers. According to the National Pet Owners Survey, 63% of households in the U.S. own a pet with most owning more than one, that equates to over 71 million homes.

Sometimes pet foods are marketed on ingredient stories that have consumer appeal. Ingredient stories are simple and believable but sometimes mislead consumers. Animals require nutrients, not ingredients. Ingredients are the means to achieve the nutritional and palatability goals of a product. What are some of the myths and facts surrounding ingredients commonly used in pet foods
