I posted photos many times of the late Blanche, a dark eared white with red eyes. Lovely. Died too young. :(

In memory of her I got Cloud two Sundays ago. She has pink ears and is pure white. We are told there are no albino Syrians. So why is she not an albino??

Is it the same for rats? Cause I have Artie, who is a pink eyed white, and I just guessed she was albino. Oh, Cloud is so cute. Her fur looks very soft, almost wavy like.

Awww! She's so cute! Looks like my Ra. 8) I think that there are no "albinos" cause the c gene mutation doesn't exists.... just like gerbils.
Is Blanche a REW?

I heard that "a dark-eared white mated with a cinnamon" can produce a red-eyed white. (?)

So, she can LOOK like an albino, but genetically she really is not?
