I got Karl about 3 weeks ago.
He’s about 8 months old.
The people who raised him from a teeny weenie little lizzy didn't know a thing about iguanas.
He’s lost 4 toes already (before I got him) and is in the process of loosing his tail. *SOB* :(
(They didn’t know he needed to be in humid conditions).

Anyway, my question is this.

Karl refuses to eat if he can’t eat some meat or egg first!

I’ve let him go for daysssss to force him to eat greens for his own good (all different kinds of great greens and good healthy iguana food types) but Karl will starve himself to death until he gets egg white or meat (cooked) first.

Then he eats like a glutton - including greens.

Please, What can I do!
I can’t let him starve himself but I hear meat will kill him in the long run?

We’re already stuck on each other but on this one he just wont budge!

Thanks!

don't feed meat, iguana's aren't stupid they won't commit suicide by refusing food

once their food is just greens they suck it up and eat it. However, they are like 2 year olds, they will throw a tantrum first. don't give in just stick to giving greens until he eats them.
