I think my 8 year old pug has severe arthritis. This past summer she had bladder stone surgery. Major complications after the surgery she had to have active drains and we weren't sure if she was going to make it. Needless to say she is doing good and I have her urine checked monthly with no distrubing signs. Anyway, she is not able to walk on her rear right leg until it warms up. Even then its brittle walking. I took her to the vet and she said it might be something besides arthritis that comes and goes. She was on rimadyl for a few days and was fine for 3 weeks. THe limp is now worse. Most glucosamine supplements warn against using if dogs have had adverse reactions. Synovi-MSM i haven't been able to find any info saying it negatively affects past bladder stones. ANy info would greatly be appreciated

Maybe you could ask your vet if there is some kind of medicine that you can give her long term that wouldn't be that damaging. Does it happen all the time where she limps?
