Bravo Robynbyrd! you are exactly right! had some of the same problems with my Wirehair Foxie as a pup. We initiated the Dog Whisperer right away. He is a wonderful dog now 4 Years later! go Cesar! he knows what he talking about!

Have you tried a clicker? If not you say a command and when he does it you click the clicker and that notifies the dog that a treat is coming. Also to make the treats last longer cut them in half. You can get these on ebay for under $5 and they really work. Hope this helps
