I order the Oxbow Organic food for my guinea pigs and the shipment got lost. They said it will be up to 10 days before I get it now. They are out of food as of tonight. Will it mess them up very bad if I have to feed them some other kind? I can't get any good food for them around here, so it'll be something not too great, sadly. I don't know what to do for them. I'm so MAD!!

Well, it was through another company, but yes they got it from Pet Food Direct. I have always ordered this way and have never had a problem. It was actually UPS that lost it. I called and they can't track it to find it.

Oh..I mentioned Pet Food Direct because I've read a lot of reviews that people have had horrible luck with Pet Food Direct. They'll overcharge them, take forever to ship, don't ship the products at all, ship the wrong products....etc etc..

Oh wow...Good to know for future purchases! I usually use PetDiscounters.com but they don't have the Oxbow Organic.

Yeah...apparently Pet Food Direct has also signed random people up, without their knowledge or permission, at a "club", and this "club" is a total scam, and continues taking money from their bank accounts to, literally, just have fun with and do whatever they please.

I just used Leith Petwerks to get my bunny and guinea pig food, and was pretty amazed. They use all recyclable packing material, and they even included a free bunny toy, :) They carry the Organic, too.

Ive bought different brands in a pinch, and my pigs didnt seem to notice. But if you are worried about upsetting their tummies, they can go without pellets too :)

I used them for two years without any problems. I loved that they tended to give us free stuff like big bags of Wellness treats :D.

If people are having that many issues then I guess they should be avoided but I wanted to share my experience, too :).

(In case anyone is curious, I order from Drs Foster and Smith and/or Sweet Meadow Farm now and am happy with both)

I've never had a problem either. This was UPS that dropped it at the wrong location on accident. My piggies seem to be fine with a substitute food for now!

If it were me and the choice were between bad pellets or no pellets I'd feed extra veggies and tons of hay until the pellets showed up. :)
