Kodo jumped off a chair and his nail ripped! It came off and the skin around may be torn. His nail is still partially attached and I put cornstarch on to stop the bleeding. Do I leave the hanging nail or take him to our vet? I cut his nails yesterday so they aren't long. I think they got caught on the chair on the way off?

Eeek, I would take him to a vet so they can remove the nail completely. It will most likely grow back after a while, Smudge ripped a nail before too. Sometimes it just happens.

Hm, yea. See a vet. They'll probably prescribe either pain killer and antibiotic to reduce chances of infection. Bunnies are prone to walling off the smallest injury resulting in infection. That's how Acacia ended up with half a cheek!!

Thanks for the advice! Kodo was taken to the vet and prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection. The ironic part is that just when we were about to cut the rest of the nail off, the nail fell off! For two days, around the house it never fell off! Silly Rabbit
