So, I have a Red-Tail shark in my aquarium. I got it about 2 months ago. She/he was very skinny then... and now, i swear the thing is pregnant its so large!
I was wondering (in case she is full of eggs) how long it takes them to release them.... it might be good food? =)

Its been hard to get a picture of him/her. The lighting in my tank isnt extremely bright (they like it that way) so its hard to get a picture where you can see her good. But i will try tonight when everything is quiet around the tank, she comes out more then.
I have a betta, neons, kuhli loaches, botias and a pleco in there with her. And i think they would almost all enjoy some eggs if she had some. =) i dont know how happy she would be though. lol.
pictures should hopefully come soon. my dad swears shes full of eggs. but its beed a while and i think shes just fat of food lol. shes a greedy one..

Yes, it is very beneficial :). Most people recommend not feeding fish at all once a week. It lets their systems clear out and really helps prevent bloat and other issues.

my red tailed shark isnt very big, maybe 1 1/2 2 inches at most. but her stomach is just huge! thats what makes me think she might be preggo. lol. i sat in front of the tank for 30 min, not moving, behind my camera, and put sinking food in front of the cave she is always in.... and did she EVER come out? NO. lol... soo.. no pictures yet guys. but when i was laying in bed i looked over and guess who was right next to me.... yep.. little miss rts.
i think shes doing it to bug me. =)
