Hi, I write for the Pet of The Week blog for PennySaverUSA.com. Each week we feature a pet for adoption alongside an inspirational rescue pet story. If you have rescued a pet and would like to tell their story on our blog, please email me at efairchild at pennysaverusa dot com.

Thank you.

I like animals, but I have not bred one. So I want to know more features or tips about this. Thanks.
How about a foster dog story?

We'd love to share a story! Not sure if this is PennySaver worth but you let me know =)

I started fostering for a local pitbull rescue 5 years ago, I fell in love with fostering after meeting my first foster dog Laser. He got adopted and I just really wanted to share my love for fostering so I started an organization dedicated to helping rescues find foster homes, Furry Foster. I even put my wedding money towards getting started! We have lots of great stories of pets from the shelter looking for foster that we can share. Let me know if you're interested, my email is foster at furryfoster.com

Thanks for the opportunity!
What kind of rescues? Does it have to be a dog story? I have a great horse story if you want to share it! :)
Any rescues!

Does not have to be a dog story! We are looking for stories about foster families and rescued pets.

Wonderful!

Last summer we adopted a paint/belgian cross named Cloud. He was given to a horse rescue facility as an orphaned foal, and was not expected to live because he was extremely emaciated. Needless to say, he survived his rough beginnings and grew into a huge horse with a big heart.

Unfortunately though, being kept at the rescue for so long, Cloud never had the opportunity to learn the basics of training- he was not even halter broke as a 5 year old. If you can imagine a 1200 lb belgian running into things and knocking people over, you might get an idea of what he was like. So for the past year, I've taken it upon myself to start him from scratch. We've had so much fun learning from each other, and the more I learn about him as a horse; how brave, steady, and hard working he is, the more I love him.

Currently Cloud is being ridden my me in a light dressage program, and he is doing wonderfully. Our trainer has high hopes, and he is full of potential :)
Wow, what a nice story. Wonderful what a little love, patience, and attention will accomplish. :D
Is that by any chance, Cloud in your profile pic?
