My two year old degu boy has never weighed much, and he's not very big in overall size either. By recently I've stopped pampering him so much and I haven't been giving him as much treats. Since this has happened through, his weight has dropped, he's only around 182 grams as of late. The heaviest I've ever seen him has only been around 200 grams. I weigh him about twice a week, usually it fluctuates around 195.
He's bony too, so obviously something's wrong, but he eats properly, defecates, drinks, is very energetic, has bright eyes, and nice thick fur. I feed him a mixture of guinea pig / chinchilla pellets with timothy hay. He's also on a vitamin supplement which makes his pee kinda yellow and cloudy. His cage mate is on the same diet, and is a very healthy weight, and I know hasn't been keeping him from eating. I've gotten the opinion of three vets each who say they haven't seen anything wrong.
So I'm pretty much asking if any of you have any ideas how to get this little guys weight up.
Edit: Except for the weird pee, which I believe is caused by the vitamins, his droppings have been normal and his teeth are a healthy color
