Can you try feeding the cats on a table or something?

usually it is on the table but i noticed some on the floor and thats how i came to the conclusion that he probably ate cat food.
ah yeah when we get a dog I am planning a table just for the cat food lol
water and bile indicate that he threw up, well.. Bile. Coco used to vomit all over our bed (on my side -_- ) everytime he was alone. The vet said it was stress and super anxiety that he wasn't digesting his food fast enough, or too fast while he was worried.
If there was no food in it then he might not have eaten. Since Spezza has speraration anxiety anyway I would go ahead and try to calm him with Rescue Remedy and other holistic methods.

Aw I wish I could just send mine! I doubt that Canada Post would allow it though :/ open bottle of liquid.

What's Quebec's equivelant of Loblaws? (Superstore?) That's where I got mine. They have a section called Natural Value where you find environmentally friendly home cleaning supplies, Holistic pet food, and non-chemical medicines. I hope you guys have it there! ^.^ Some mom and pop pet stores who believe in holistic care might have the pet version but even calling random pharmacies or drugstores (holistic ones for sure) and asking about the human one.

spezza loves baths,if im not careful when i go in the shower he tries to jump in lol, the shampoo while washing him turned him purple till its washed off lol. he also loves being dressed up lol. hes weird last night i put him in some of alysons old baby clothes and he just let me and then cuddled up to me in the clothes lol totally not what i was expecting.
Aw, someone loved him once.. I hate that people abandon their pets when they get old. There's a 9 yr old chocolate lab in the SPCA here. 9 years old!! How do people make the decision that after 9 yrs they don't want their loyal companions?!? Ugh!
Whats just as sad is pets that have been passed from shelter to shelter owner to owner their whole lives :(

I personally would rather see them end up in shelters, then beaten on the streets and starving, so there is an upside to shelters, but who the heck does that after 9 years, but then if you think about it sometimes they belonged to old people who passed away and the family just cant keep that dog afterwards, which is still sad.
Oh yess. People dying. A couple years ago my sister and I walked the greyhounds and beagles of an old lady. When she was in the hospital, she instructed to have her cats returned to the SPCA, her really sweet beagle to be euthanized and her last greyhound to be passed to someone in the rescue. I was furious with her for so long. Why did the beagle have to die?!?!? I probably would have been able to take her, let alone the line-up of people who loved her and would have taken her in a heart beat. :(
The SPCA here is dealing with that now, someone died and left their cat outside. They can't catch the cat bc it has never been out before and it's timid as heck. Some SPCA's are just prisons though. Recently, at the annual meeting, the public voted to have the top 2 deputies removed. Now they're aiming to increase low cost spay-neuter programs, education and awareness (bc NL does have a lot of hick-minded ignoramus') and kill less animals. They're not going no-kill bc the volume of animals they do save would drop.

But I agree with you, living in a cramped cold cage with scary people who aren't there enough in a day to calm you down, toss in some kibble but don't walk you for long enough or play with you is better than sitting outside in the snow with no human contact or food. (don't get me started on the australian shepherd they found once living 3 feet away from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean in high tide for 9 or 10 years with rotting kibble scattered down around the ground and nothing but a tarp to conceal the dog from winds and sleet, snow and rain. He was so messed up he was euthanized after being rescued.
