Several days ago I noticed a unilateral swelling in submandibular area of my ground squirrel. Swelling is hard in consistency, I cant detect a fluctuation, the size of the swelling increases and decreases during the day. The pet eats very little, he is losing the weight very quickly, is not as active, as he was before the ilness.
I'm a dentist, so I performed several xrays in various projections, but as I dont know normal radiologic anatomy of a rodent, I cant detect pathology.
I was at my vet, he prescribed enrofloxacine, but cant tell about a prognosis.
I add xrays I made to my pet. Maybe somebody see any problems on them and can give me an advice what should be done to avoid the death of my squirrel?
