Our tarantula at my work just molted. I have taken home the molt and was wondering if it will rot after time or not? If so, is there a way to preserve it??
Thanks!

It will dry out and become even more brittle, but if it's otherwise not too disturbed, it won't rot away - more likely to fall apart. If you want to protect it, hobby places often sell little clear acrylic boxes of various sizes.

I keep them in tupperware containers to protect them.

A little trivia: for most all species, you can examine the shed (called an exuviae) and determine the sex of the animal before it has reached adulthood.

A decent microscope is needed, and it's 100%.

There are easier ways to check the sex on tarantulas

Mine have all remained intact (Oldest being about 6 years now). But you can preserve them using DIY resin kits from places like Hobbycraft.
