Training Pets to Get Along with Others

Hello Everyone!

Wanted to see if you have any tips of tricks for training pets to get along with other pets. For example, our dog took a while to adjust with our cat who had been with us for a few years, so it took training both pets to really make it work. Lots of attention and patience, but want to see what you find to be successful when helping pets adjust with others and bringing a new pet into the home.

Cheers,

the best thing is socialize and supervise from day one. If a dog has never been near another dog for 8 years they might not like other dogs, ever. But if a dog has been around other dogs and cats and birds and so forth since being a puppy then they will be more accepting. If you adopt a dog that has not been socialized you need to treat it as a puppy, supervise and expose to other animals at a safe distance and reward good behavior
Training pet parrots has a lot of benefits, like teaching some simple commands to handle your parrot easier and strengthening the bond with your parrot. It is not only the entertainment when a parrot can talk and do tricks.
