I was just curious about how much an appointment is at the vet you take your little critters to.

I live in WA state and the two exotic vets near me are $50-$60 for an appointment alone.

The emergency appointment I had to take my rattie to Sunday night was $98 appointment alone. :dopey:

I get rescue prices on some things, but its normally $65 for the initial exam for regular owners.

The E-vet that is in a different city is about $250-300 just to walk in the door, that's without the exam, any meds...it can go up to about $500.

Breezy, I am in WA state also and yes, the prices you mentioned for this area are about right. That was what our exotic animal vet charged for appointments for my two boys, and the emergency hospital was even more. Super vets and excellent medical facilities up here for rats (yay), but they are pricey.
