we won in court today about a month ago a guy knocked at my door claiming i had his cat.....felicia he claimed was his aka MY PHILLY! so i said well can you prove to me that shes yours Ill gladly give you her back if you can.he goes well what would you want as proof, Im like a photo of her or vet records, so he said ok no problem then left, Came back and said he had none of those, so we sat down to talk i said ok how about this what is her name when was she born and what colour is she, Because I had not shown him philly yet, he said shes a siamese, mixed with persian,doesnt know her name and has no idea when shes born, im like im sorry, you have the wrong cat, so I went and got philly to show him . about a week ago right before kimik was born . I got a court paper from this guy. saying that i was being brought to court for stealing his cat :mad2:, I sure the heck didnt steal his cat, and even if philly was his he neglected her, i had been feeding her outside for months i had asked neighbours if it was theres and posted posters to see if anyone would claim her and no one did. So anyways today we went to court lol, which to me was a big joke, and to be honest kinda made me mad,anyways so were in the small court room and the judge askes him waht proof he has that shes his, he says none, again the judge goes well how do you know shes your cat he goes well because i can tell by looking at her, which is not a valaid answer, so she asked me how i came to have philly in my life and i explained i had been feeding her outside for months asked neighbours and posted posters but no one claimed her so i adopted her, so the judge says do you have proof that she is offically your cat and that youve had her more then 30 days , which to me was a joke cuz weve had philly almost 3 months, so i showed the very first vet record. The judge then asked well if shes your cat how come you didnt claim her, so the guy says Hes a breeder and that he didnt realize that his cat had been missing, the judge said well how long ago did you notice she was missing and how did you come to realize she had your cat he gave the date that he showed up at my door looking for philly i had already had her adleast 2 months at that point :hehe: and the judge turns around and goes how do you not realize your cat has been missing for two months??? , so she turns to me and goes can you prove that you are a better suited home, so i said I cant prove that Im a better suited home but I can prove im an excellent home for this cat. So the judge said and how would you do this, So i gave her the 800 dollar vet bill that we paid for the c-section and her spay I also gave her a vet refrence from not 1 but 2 vets and showed i had an upcoming vet appointment next friday for kimik and philly :hehe:so the guy tries to argue that he should have kimik, cuz he owns the father, the judge says well do you have proof again the guy goes no I have 9 cats I cant be sure who the father is of the kitten....so the judge says well if your willing to repay the price of what she has paid for vet appoint ment gas and time then you can have your cat back, I was starting to get worried at this point thinking i was gonna loose philly n kimik, the guy askes how much and the judge says 800 for the surgery not including the other small vet visits that weve done, so the guy turns around after finding out how much i paid and mutters under his breathe he would of let her die ,:mad2: but the judge heard him say it, not the brightest of a cookie lol, so the judge says can you repeat that please so dummy repeats it out loud I would of let her die no cat is worth that much money . so needless to say I have full costudy of philly and Kimik and the spca has been contacted for byb .that kinda brightened my day hehehe the thought of him having to paySmall claims court costs money. Usually when someone sues in small claims part of the complaint includes the loser paying court costs. I'm sure he had to pay court costs.
