I'm already pretty pumped for Christmas, LOL! Here is what I'm planning on getting my babies. Nothing huge, but just some fun/practical stuff for them!

-Chuey: A new harness and leash. He hasn't gotten new ones for ages!
-Smudge: Some new toys, a new grass mat, and maybe one of those spinning hay dispensers.
-Dudley: A new UVB light hood with a reflector (So he gets more UVB rays), and a rheostat dimmer for his CHE. I would like to get him one of those stuffed animals that you can warm in the microwave for him to snuggle with, but we'll see. ;)
-Stella: The privilege of living with me, LOL. I already spent an arm and a leg on her fancy viv with the sliding doors, and all her accessories! I can't think of anything other than some wax worms that she would like anyways.
-Squishy: Some new live plants for his tank... I'm excited about his new setup!

What are you guys getting your pets?

I'm so broke I'm actually not that excited for christmas. Commercialisation has ruined the true meaning. I AM going to Nova Scotia, courtesy of Matt's parents, so I won't be around to celebrate with the pets.
Oliver went to the vet and got a clean bill of health. I guess this being his new furr-ever home is enough :D
Acacia.. Well, I guess she'll have to wait but those spinning hay wheels look fun!!
Lakitu. Well. I'm sure I can just feed him extra bloodworms and he'll feel heavenly ^.^

(first post in forever and it's on a nonsensical thread! Whoooo!)

Lessee, Skooma's getting a toilet paper roll (according to her teh bestest toy evar) and while she's distracted with that, Sugar can play with the paper bags because Skooma monopolizes them.

Hamm will probably join in on Paper Bag Fun Time (typing with one hand occupied by sleeping cat is hard) and he'll enjoy his toilet paper tube full of hay... with a raisin in the middle of course.

Necho will get a crumpled ball of paper with treats in the middle! Something he can shred that I won't miss (*sob* the cookbook!).

So that's my poor college student christmas.

Ha I go overboard getting my pets stuff for Christmas. Seriously we got Kit like 12 different gifts so far and that's just for Christmas, he's getting even more stuff the next day because the day after Christmas is his birthday :)

But anyways yeah we got Kit a bunch of new toys, mostly squeaky toys since those are his favorite. Plus I spent a bunch getting him new chews and treats from bestbullysticks.com. Then every year we get him a new collar for the year, plus a few other necessities like new dog bath stuff, doggy toothpaste, and new bowls. That's just stuff he would need soon anyways but it's fun to give it to him on Christmas because it give him extra stuff to unwrap. Kit is OBSESSED with unwrapping presents!

For the geckos I have been working on making them all new hides which will hopefully be done before Christmas. I've been wanting to completely redo their tanks with new themes and new stuff but have been so busy lately that I haven't gotten around to it yet. I doubt I'll get to it before Christmas so it'll probably turn into an after Christmas project. I'll probably get them some wax worms or something as a treat either way.

The bunnies I got them a bunch of unpeeled willow stuff like a basket and some balls, plus some new fleece blankets and I make them homemade treats (dried fruit). I didn't go too overboard for them this year honestly since I just spent a ton of money on Ziggy's medical bills before he passed. :/

The African Clawed frogs I'm getting them a new tank stand, then after Christmas they'll finally be getting their new tank plus all new accessories to go with it. Basically I'm planning on starting over from scratch and moving them to a new tank. But our Christmas tree is currently in the spot where their new tank will go and the acrylic tank I want to get them is kind of expensive, so they won't be getting all that stuff until after Christmas. On Christmas I'll probably just give them extra food or something.

This is my first post just joined today just saw this thread and thought how great it is my wife and i tend to go overboard at christmas. For our 3 dogs (Rosie Suzie and Cocoa) we got about 20 squeeky toys and im sure some treats. The fish will all get live shrimp as a treat, the buns will get a few new treats and toys. The reptiles amphibians and birds all pretty much have to share the new 200sqft 4 seasons sunroom that we are having built just for them plus a few new enclosures for some of the herps and ill probably buy a few wood toys for the birds and wrap them up for them.

I think I missed this thread when it was first posted.

The dogs are getting liver treats, venison hooves and bully sticks from Best Bully Sticks, an antler, a mini Buster Cube (to add to their collection of at least twenty different puzzle toys...I think I have a problem), and a couple of squeaky plush hedgehogs.

That's in addition to the plush toys my mom got Bambi .

I had originally gotten a bunch of toys/chews from Bunny-Bytes to be split between both rabbits. Now that Fiona has passed I guess Elvis will have a spoiled Christmas. Most of the toys are made of willow, a bunny favorite. I also bought some treats from Bunspace (the various flower and herb mixes) along with birch branches...they should arrive just in time.

The snakes really don't need anything. I guess I could schedule a feeding on Christmas, that's their idea of a good day . My turtle also doesn't need anything but I can give him some whole fish as treats. The only reptile that DID get an actual "present" is my gargoyle gecko...I upgraded him to a large terrarium complete with a bunch of new branches to climb on :).

Oh, and I forgot to add that the dogs will get a special Christmas dinner, too ;). Probably quail and fish...they've never had quail and looove fresh fish.

Now that it's Christmas, how did all your pets respond to their treats?

My Coco used to LOVE hanging out at the tree waiting for his presents to unwrap. I swear Coco was a human child in a dog's body. He had perfect control over not tearing into the human presents if we told him to wait. So every toy he had would be wrapped separately so he was occupied. His eyes lit up at his new toys and heaven forbid we wanted to play with our own toys and not his!! He was so demanding, even with a bone he would demand someone be with him and pretend to take it on him. If anything this Christmas, I choose to remember the good times shared with my favorite dog. He taught me many things in his time and I'm just so thankful for the opportunity of getting to share my life with him. Not only Coco, but my beloved pets of the past; Akina, Dusti, Nikki and all the little fish, mice and hamsters. Take a moment today to reflect on what you have, not what you don't :) Merry Christmas everyone.
