I have two adult rats that live in this cage. I'm thinking of adopting a thrid rat from a friend, but she's just a baby. The cage bars are spaced too far apart, and the baby will climb right out. I ordered hardwarecloth 1/2 x 1/2 spaces 19 guage. Should I have gone with a heavier gauge? They assured me at the hardware store that this will work fine. But now I'm not so sure.
