There are so many hammock makers on the web, pick and choose your style and fabric, its awesome, and can get addictive.

What animal are you looking to get the hammock for?

What type of hammock are you looking for? Flat, pocket, bunker, etc?

polar or anti pill and mice I think I could just make one at home I mean it cant be hard can it?
If you sew? No. Me, sewing machines go into convulsions when I walk by LOL

For my mice I use flats or pockets, and little cubes or tunnels...

I have seen people use paper clips to hold the hammock up.

Safe ones of course.
You could use rope too. That way if they chew it it is easy to replace.

I think, but you would have to do some research as to what is safe for mice just in case they eat it.

I think they will really love a hanging cloth tunnel.

with shower hooks they close, with safety diaper pins they close, but paper clips still have those sharp ends and knowing our pets would slice themselves on it.

Try the twine, I don't find my mice like to chew the fabric of hammocks, just the cardboard houses etc.
