Why GGMR Syndrome...WHY!?

Hahaha...wow,it has hit me again! GGMR Syndrome! I been adoring everyone's ratty pics lately and enjoying my ratties and looking at rat sites and the urge has come again!!!


I was into the pet store a few nights ago,picking something up as a gift to someone and of course stopped at the rats.There were about 7 there,all girlies and two albinos and a siamese caught my eye! I almost left with one...or all! Haha.But I controlled myself.


However GGMR has hit me big time.
I have spare cages and am planning on getting a HUGE cage after Christmas...so I can bring another ratty in.I will prolly wait till after Christmas however...altho I can't help but think of the rats that have to spend the holidays in a store...:(


Am I crazy?? :hehe:

Hahah, remain calm! Take deep breaths! :lol:

I had GGMR so bad a few weeks back. But I held off and it has subsided a bit. I think it's always better to come home with a rat when you are not feeling all crazy about it, but as long as you have room in your heart and home for more, there is nothing wrong with adding to the family. :D Good luck!

Aww Lisa hun i know how you feel lol i have always got GGMR!!! At the moment i am doing ok because i am gonna have a whole house full of babies let alone my 13 adults lol i am getting into silly numbers now but who cares lol. As long as you have room in your heart and home then go for it hunny lol RATS RULE!! We NEED them in our lives lol xxxxxxxx

Thanks! I shall try to remain calm and TRY to wait until after Christmas.Besides I have 5 wonderful balls of fun now anyway!! :yes: I will survive...for now!

hahaha. Lisa, i have 2 rats and i got it now too. I know a guy who runs a rat rescue down here i had forgotten about. weve been emailing and he ALWAYS has rats for adoption so now i SOOO wanna get one or two huge male bucks from him lol

that is why i have supervised visits to the petstore... and i have GGMBs syndrome too so i have supervised visits to the book store now too.

You should check out the Sameday courier website, they do ship rats, the rats don't need documentation either unless they are medicated lab rats! I was thinking about using them myself to send and receive, I'm waiting to hear back in an email how much it would cost.

Hahahaha...nobody supervises me to the pet store.I live alone and the guy I am dating don't live with me or care if I go to the pet store and my family don't supervise me either...teehee!

So I really want an albino or another black berk.I am going in search of one next week.


I only ever had ONE albino rat my whole life,a big boy named Wendell.I had loads of black berks,but I adore them.So I want one of them...or one of each! :D We'll see what I can find.

All my rats have been white/black, so when I dream of getting ratties I always want a different color like a pretty blue or beige. I also haven't had a dumbo yet, so I reeeeeeeally want one of those. I have only had 7 total so far, so I'm sure I'll end up with a dumbo at some point.

Awwwww...I am sure you will get a dumbo someday! They used to be impossible to get here,but the past 2-3 yrs,they are getting abit more common here! I don't have any dumbos now,but hope on more soon!!! Maybe I will get lucky and find a dumbo when I am looking!

haha I have the same problem though I will have my fix soon this month when my two new rescue boys come :p

OMG you should see 2 of Oceana's babies!! They have got very strange markings lol i will try and get close up pics of them!!!
