Why is it that the smaller the bunny the more they fight it when beying picked up?

Are the dwarf breeds just more skiddish? I go to hold my bun and she starts kicken like mad. and trying to clip her nails is like trying to storm a beach.

Just a thought, Korey

I've heard that dwarf rabbits are much more energetic and skittish than the larger bunnies. And also, many rabbits do not enjoy being picked up at all because it puts them in a very vulnerable situation.

It's undeniably true that the larger breeds (as a whole) are much more settled and relaxed than the smaller breeds. I guess maybe the bigger breeds don't think they're in as much danger because we don't look as big to them??

In any case, if you want a bunny that will laze around, much like a big dog or cat, then try a flemish giant --- now that's a docile bunny!
