Why is my 9/10 month old puppy acting strange?

Hi, my name is Ben and I have a dog that is about 9 months old now, named Remi (female). She is a mix between a lab and something like a Shepard. Remi is well potty trained, but that is about the only thing she is good about. We used to take her to get trained and she was better behaved but now she has much more energy.
We recently decided to let Remi roam the house by herself. She has trouble figuring out where her place to go is. A lot of times she will come to my room and bark at me when I do my HW if I don't play with her! She used to sleep in my bed with me but now every night she gets feisty and goes crazy running around, crying, and messing with organized things. So I have been takin her to her crate. I have tried taking her to go to the bathroom but she doesn't have to go. I don't know what to do about that situation. Please help! My parents want to give her away. No matter how much I play with her she has energy at night and cries and barks if not given attention. Before suggesting trainer please give other thoughts. I walk and run with her but that doesn't wear her out!!!!!! Help is needed 😁! Thanks

You dog is made up of active breeds, she needs a lot of daily walking and she needs a job to do.

First, walking. She needs to be walked at least twice a day, for two hours a walk.

And I highly recommend you enroll her (and you) in some sort of fly-ball or agility class, so she has a job to do.

What are you feeding her? Many dog foods are full of junk, including sugar and high frutcose corn syrup, which can cause a dog to be hyperactive.

Yeah, more exercise and activity for her, surely will help improve physical and behavior.

Don't give her attention when she barks and cries. If you do, you are teaching her that she can get what she wants by barking at you. In the long run, it will only cause her to bark more.

Ignore her when she barks/cries for attention. It will be very annoying for awhile, and you'll loose some sleep, but you have to teach her that barking is not going to get her any attention. Once she figures it out she should stop.

My dog is really hyper/active too. Sometimes it takes more than just walking/running to tire a dog out, especially a smart, very active dog. Instead of just exercising her more, try wearing her out mentally. Play games with her, teach her new tricks, or look into getting her some puzzle type toys. Keep her mind active as well as her body. Does she like to chew? Maybe you could get her some new chew toys as well.
